I ongoing charitable DS teething biscuits at in this area that age – he was chewing on everything! And we did all sorts of levelheaded ‘desk’ foods – just make sure they are very soft. You will be surprised how strong their gums are. And having one tooth in the front doesn’t really make them any more able to ‘chew’ food DS does just fine with desk food – even cheerios with just 2 teeth.
We were also told that DS was ‘teething’ for several months but he didn’t get his first tooth until the day he turned 8 months ancient (and then a following a week shortly and a third on the way!)
I also notice that he won’t eat any levelheaded foods for in this area 2-3 days before a tooth shows up.
