I’ve nursed all of my babies and only Talker Man did I even ATTEMPT to use disposable tending pads.  One word: YUCK!  They’re so icky feeling, certainly not something you want next to your skin if you’re a first timer to tending (or an ancient pro for that matter!).  I “made do” with burp rags and washcloths for the first few weeks and eventually my supply evened out and leaking wasn’t such an issue.  When Tiny Man was born I came crosswise some bamboo tending pads that I thought were pretty cool, but they were a small huge and completely obvious (in my opinion) under my shirt.  When I was recently given the opportunity to try out some of GladRags organic tending pads, I was excited to see that they have a small flap to help with the typically bulky appearance of tending pads!


You can adjust the tending pad to really fit your body instead of hoping that your body fits the tending pad.  I like that these are made of organic cotton; they are SO soft and luxurious!  The absorbency is perfect for me.  I don’t usually wear tending pads around the house because it’s just simpler not to and my milk flow has regulated some (it’s not hard to change your shirt if you’re at home), but I find for myself wearing these even when I’m not going out and about.  That’s some serious comfort!
