My 6 month ancient is knawing on her hands and everything else in sight and is extremly fussy, she has not eaten well (about half the feeds she usually has – breastfed) in the last five days, and has had terrible sleep patterns for the last five days.
She isn’t drooling at all so i am wondering if this may possibly be teething, i took to GP today who said that she is not dehydrated and doesn’t have an ear infection or temperature and seemed fine to him?
Is this teething?

yes, it is usually caused because a baby’s mouth hurts and putting anything in their mouth to eat can cause them severe pain. you might premeditated getting a teething ring that you can place in the freezer because it numbs their gums and they are more likely to eat.

Most likely she is teething. Just try to keep her comfortable.

It’s very possible. Nursing can be hell on painful gums, so they will fuss during feeds and may possibly gnaw on your breast (oh so painful) just before the tooth erupts. They sometimes tear at their ear on the same side that the tooth is coming through on, though it’s more common with the teeth further back. Try some teething gel, or a clean, cold, damp wash cloth straight from the fridge for a few minutes before a feed, even a cold, water filled teething ring would work, and give it back between breasts and during burping era. Keep an eye on her bottom gums, you’ll notice a hard bump or white patches, just before the tooth erupt, and you’ll be able to feel for the tip of the tooth with a clean finger. She’s certainly at the aptly age to start teething. Don’t worry, she won’t starve or dehydrate, babies have an mysterious way of maintenance their tummies filled no topic how small you reckon they’re getting!

Sounds like teething to me. Try teething rings, Take a large carrot wash and scrub it and let her chew on that my kids loved it. I also tried teething tablets, they by no means worked for my kids. Try baby oragel especially aptly before bed. It worked wonders with my kids. Also try infants motrin for pain.

My six month ancient is teething and seems to be really in pain all the time. I feel horrible about this. I was told to give her childrens motrin, but it seems like giving her that twice a day for a week or too will be tough on her stomach. I was wondering if anyone knows any natural SAFE remedies for teething babies.

Gentle difficulty on the gums seems to relieve some of the pain for most babies. Give her something to chew on — preferably something cold, like a chilled teething ring, a frozen washcloth (wet the corner then freeze it), a chilled carrot (as long as she doesn’t have any teeth at all yet), frozen mini-bagel, etc. Also, you can just take your (clean) finger and gently rub or press on the sore area. When my son was teething, I tried to only give him Motrin at night so he may possibly sleep and during the day I just let him chew on stuff. Usually the most terrible of the pain passes quickly — within a few days or a week at the most. Excellent luck!

A frozen banana is fun for them to chew on and the coldness helps numb their gums. Kids Kit from Hylands kids place forward a chamomilla homeopathic remedy you may possibly try, also simple massage of the baby’s gums can help. Check also at your Natural food pile they place forward so many options that work well sometimes. Anything cold. Some say clove oil, but it is really strong and burns a bit and is likely to make your baby weep. Excellent luck.
