Each rattle is to the top with copper .177″ ball barrings for a soothing signal for you and the baby who receives it. A small amount of wood glue is used which is FDA approved for indirect food contact and is also water-strong. Though they share a similar look, no two rattles are just so alike. They are hand sanded as part of the finishing process then receive 3 coats of Gerorge's Club House Wax (a fantastic small business out of Ohio) that has been double filtered and is food grade safe. Wash by hand with warm water and a small amount of soap and towel dry.
