7 Common teething symptoms in babies

Teething symptoms in babies usually start to appear around 6 months of age. In several cases, teething can start at any age linking 3 to 12 months of age, and it's normal.

The signs of teething in babies may vary with different severity. Some of babies may feel lot of ache, crying out loud because they feel pain at their gum. The additional may feel nothing.

Teething symptoms in babies

1. Drooling – this condition is normal to baby with 3-4 month-ancient. From this age you may see your baby start drooling more often than normal. Teething makes this drooling worst with some babies than others. This waterworks are on for many babies starting from about ten weeks to three or four months of age.

2. Chin or face rash – skin rash around chin can renovate when your baby is drooling. This rash is a result of constant spit contact with the skin, makes the skin around shin and mouth to become irritated. Swipe out the drool will help prevent the rash.

3. Coughing – another side effect of drooling is cough all that drool can make babies gag and cough especially if there are no additional signs of flu, cold or allergies.

4. Low grade-fever – this fever is one of teething symptoms in babies. Frequently baby gets a affront fever while teething. To make sure that the fever is an effect of teething and not caused by additional condition, just contact your doctor especially if the fever is above 39C or if the fever last for more that two days.

5. Gum pain – first teeth usually hurt the most. The tenderness of tender gum tissue can cause what seems like terrible pain to some babies.

6. Not sleeping well – the pain that may cause from teething can happen during the day and night. This condition can make your baby wakes more often at night when the pain gets worse.

7. Biting and gnawing – a baby that is teething will gnaw and gum down on anything she or he can get their mouth around.  The counter pressure from biting on something helps relieve the pressure from under the gums.
