My 8 month ancient baby boy has 2 bottom teeth and now the tops are coming in. He has all the signs of teething but has a runny & stuffy nose this time. Sneezing & coughing a small bit, not a lot. No fever. I give him Baby Advil for the pain and that really helps. Can you please answer if your child has these symptoms too and if so, is it a waste of time to give him anything for his cold like symptoms? Thank you.

A child that young should never have anything for a cold…..cold medicine is perilous for a baby.
Yes teething can cause some cold like symptoms because of the extra drool they cough etc….they can even get a fever from it…
Keep charitable some occasional pain medicine…
