Remedies to Relief Teething Pain, Soothe Baby Teething Pain

Teething process for babies can be very painful and stressful for both, the baby and the parents. In only five to six months you may start to wonder what happened to that infant sleeping beauty?  Just as you were getting use to the cute small baby sleeping through the night, that small one decides to wake up often crying, fussing and drooling. Persons are a few most common symptoms of teething in infants.  You will also notice the later changes in the baby: chewing on things, swollen red gums, feeling miserable, high temperature, difficulty sleeping and decrease in appetite.  Yes, the poor baby is teething!  It is an excitement for the parents to see the first tooth to come out but it is a settled pain for the baby.

Suggestions and natural home remedies my grandparents had to offer to soothe and comfort the teething pain were:

To give some flavor, my grandparents would cut 1/4 of an apple, wrap the piece in a small wet baby washcloth and place it in the freezer for half and hour or until it freezes and becomes hard. The baby will not only delight in biting and sucking on this cold natural homemade teethe, but will also delight in the flavor and get the nutritional values at the same time. This will give the baby more incentive to bite down and work persons teeth through the gums.  Judge it, the small one will not let this go!  This home remedy gives a fantastic comfort and soothing effect to infant teething pain.  It helps numb and massage the gums, thus eases the teething pain by equalizing the difficulty on the gums as the tooth below is pressing upwards.  You will be surprised that the teething process of getting the teeth through the gums; especially getting the first baby teeth out will be a fun for the baby and less stress for the parents.  Sometimes, grandparents smeared the apple with a small bit of pure vanilla extract before freezing it.  Vanilla gives warmth and comfort to the painful gums.  You can substitute the apple with your choice of fruits or carrot. Additional bonus with washcloth is that it will absorb some of the drools that may otherwise drench an infant. Try this brilliant natural home remedy and delight in your baby’s teething process!

My grandparents envisioned a future with the natural cures and treatments and I judge in my grandparents’ wisdoms and home remedies.
