SABC Education Baba Indaba brings a host of big name and ...

The SABC Education Baba Indaba Pretoria and Midrand show is life held from 27-29 May 2011 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. Doors open from 10h00 until 18h00 each day and entry is R50.00 at the door for adults, while kids gain free access. Grandparents are admitted free on Friday. Tickets can also be bought online.

There is a fantastic line-up of exhibitors including the likes of Baby Throne, Bornsage, Right Berry, 4D Scans, Decadence, Simple Teething and Belly Bellz, Funky Firefly Kids Furniture, Crazy Concepts, Esteemed Belly, Pitta-Patta, Minky, Active Play Mats, Baby Dam, eco.kid, Ecobabe, BabyView, CryBaby, Be Spoilt and many more. These wonderful exhibitors add a very special flavour to the SABC Education Baba Indaba shows with their unique and gorgeous harvest offering visitors a highly rewarding visitor experience.
An example of the unique items that can be seen and bought at the show include vintage inspired and retro chic children’s sleepwear from Chiliwinky. Vintage children’s clothing is a huge trend in America, the United Kingdom and Australia and is still reasonably new to South Africa. The gorgeous designer sleepwear is made of pure cotton and manufactured right here in South Africa.

A must for moms is entry into the Bump & Beyond Competition where one lucky entrant stands the chance of winning over R80 000 worth of stunning prizes from the exhibitors.

Persons interested in financial matters will not be disappointed as exhibitor African Bank will have a mobile van on site that will be equipped to register and immediately dispense credit cards to customers at the show. Visitors will need to bring relevant documents and apply. And for persons visitors with Edgars cards, there is the opportunity to hold from the Edgars stand at the show using their cards as they would normally do any Edgars branch.

Of course safety while driving is paramount for parents, so BMW and Mini will be on the show floor showcasing their range of family vehicles.

Also vital to visitors are the likes of health and nutrition experts such as Clicks and Vitabiotics who will be there to advise on harvest, pregnancy and baby’s health and Parmalat who will thrill all with their Yumchums and advise on functional milks. Kumon Education, Summit College, Curro Private Schools and SABC Education will be on hand for learning requirements.

Whilst enjoying free parenting talks at the Woolworths small world speaker’s corner, mamas and babas can delight in a free coffee and biscotti, whilst the small ones indulge in the Early Learning Centre toys on offer. Once again mums-to-be can look stylish with the hot fashions from Maternity Lane while parents can get gorgeous pictures of their gorgeous babies at Frantique and QPhoto.

In order to make the show as comfortable and convenient as possible, the Pretoria/Midrand SABC Education Baba Indaba will have innumerable facilities catering to all possible needs of mom and baby. Cuddlers changing facilities will be available and are fully-equipped with nappies and additional changing harvest to keep baby comfortable and pleased for the duration of your fun-filled day. There will be private breast-feeding rooms to place mom and small one at ease and the Woolworths Littleworld members will gain free access to Baba Indaba. SABC Education Baba Indaba is not just about babies, toddlers will like to see the muppets from Takalani Sesame the theater daily shows on stage. They also get to meet and play with them, learning numeracy, literacy and life-skills knowledge in the process. Children may have a chance of meeting their favourite characters in person and having their special picture taken.
